Well, I'd have to give myself high marks for this week. For the first time I actually completed all of my initiatives... at least partially. So I guess this would be better said as I did not ignore any of the initiatives completely! I definitely didn't feel as inspired as I did during Whimsy Week but I rekindled a love of inquiry that had been partially forgotten. I'll give myself a 6. I might go as high as 7 but I like to leave some room for improvement!
I have to admit I was hoping for more input when I asked for comments about the project so far. So many of you have already told me you like the blog so I will take this silence as validation that my approach is fun for you too. Granted I am doing this mostly for my own amusement, but if at anytime you think something could be added or changed for your added enjoyment please do let me know.
My friend Lisa is a consummate craig's lister (not a word yet but Lisa's skill demands a new word!) which is in itself an inquiry art. I've been impressed by her finds and have wanted to jump in. However, because Rob and I have been sharing a car I have shied away from even looking for things we may need even though it totally satisfies an environmentally friendly ethos I want to cultivate. This is no longer the case. We have purchased a second hand truck (environmentally better then new although some of the gas economies are still not the friendliest!) so I now have the means to collect some inquiry finds. Up for the hunt this week will be a coffee table, extra car seat and possibly a rug and depending on what is out there some lawn furniture and even a dresser for Jessie's room. Ahhh the freedom to really search! This is just what this week was about!
