Welcome to Everyday Bliss

I'm delighted you stopped by!

I started this blog as a place to report my progress in a little experiment I call an Everyday Game. My game is based loosely on Ben Franklin's practice to examine each of 13 virtues and concentrating on one per week. Ben played this game for his entire life. So far I have played my version of the game for one year, visiting each of my virtues 4 times.

Ben Franklin picked virtues he thought would make him a better person and chose to play his version of this game with the same 13 virtues for his entire life. I am not quite as nobel in my pursuit and decided to concentrate on things that would encourage more everyday bliss in my day to day life. In my version I explore what I am calling the 13 virtues of Everyday Bliss.

My 13 virtues of Everyday Bliss are
joy, order, creativity, passion, whimsy, serenity, inquiry, community,
romance, gratitude, moxie, humility, and surprise.

You have joined me while I am in the middle of a grand re-design and update to the blog so while I am not updating with daily posts I thought Id encourage you to poke through the archives for some inspiration. I've spent an entire month in total concentrating on each of the topics and finding tips for increasing your experience of Everyday Bliss.

I realize hunting through more then 365 posts would be rather daunting so to get you started I've picked out a few of my favorite posts as a way to introduce my blog. Are you interested in politics or religion? Do you want to laugh or do you just want to know more about me? There is something for everyone!

From Serenity Week, a reality check:

From Gratitude Week, a real favorite:

From Whimsy Week, comedy for my foodie friends:

Thank you so much stopping by! If you want to be updated regarding the relaunch please let me know in a comment and check back here for future updates!

Outrageous joy,
Kathy
