Every Sunday I take a look back at my week. I start first by looking at my Bliss Initiatives for the week and I think about how well I did with each of them and then I give myself a score 1-10 on how I think I did for the week. Over the past 8-9 weeks I have also been giving myself a score in terms of overall bliss experienced. I call those Bliss Boosts.
This week following these measurement methods I will give myself a 4 out of 10. I think I did a pretty good job of shaking things up over on the blog. I tried a few things I haven't done before and it was fun being a little bit off road from the way I usually post. I will also give myself 2 Bliss Boosts. I diid have some fun and I feel I have a better relationship with SURPRISE but I certainly haven't integrated surprise into my daily life, at least not in the way I think it is possible.
The past few Sunday's I have mentioned that I am working on a another way to score my game. Perhaps a little more Ben Franklin-ish if you will but the truth is I really haven't had the time to post and work on some of the "back end aspects" of the blog. I have a ton of ideas but I have a limited time to play around with the blog particularly when I am working on my usual daily posts. For this reason I am announcing that I will be suspending my normal game for the next week so that I can use my blogging time to work on the design and overall management of the game.
Meanwhile I will still be promoting the BIG GIVEAWAY (this means you should leave comments even if I give you nothing good to comment about just to get another entry!) and I plan on doing a few flash back posts and hopefully keep you all at least mildly entertained while I try to upgrade Everyday Bliss. Thank you for your understanding during my little game hiatus. I'll be back in full force for the next JOY week on Monday March 29, 2010. Not so coincidentally that is the date I will also be announcing the winners of the Everyday Bliss Giveaway.

Enjoy the week of work, don't work too hard, and we'll be waiting for your return!!
I recently took a short intermission, just wasn't feeling any inspiration, & the result was phenomenal. I haven't stopped writing, sewing or painting this weekend. Enjoy your "break"!
ReplyDeleteWe all need to take a brief hiatus, especially when there is a "backend" to deal with. Am liking your post reviews! Keep up the good work.
