Passion up, productivity down!

PASSION - a fervent or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything; experience of strong love or sexual desire. [Passion Week starts here. Click for this week's Bliss Initiatives.]

OK. So I know I promised a post about Passionate Creatives but after several hours, yes Jessie is sleeping in today so I was gifted with A LOT of time, of researching and reading about the topic I still have nothing to say! I have to tell you that since I told you publicly that I was taking on the writing of a book I have been finding a thousand other uses for my time. The number of comments posted on Facebook is probably a good indicator of my slothfulness, the more I comment the less I am writing.
-------
So now here it is the second day of my writers block! LOL I don't actually have writers BLOCK I'm actually finding the opposite problem. I feel a bit like a the faucet has exploded. Previously, I had it open just enough for a stream of writing to come forth, this blog, then I said I would be writing a book and whoosh the whole faucet has come off and I am having trouble managing the flow. Dozens upon dozens of thoughts are swirling around. I really can't seem to write them all down and until this very moment I wasn't able to write a coherent sentence.

I am very excited. I really don't know why I  have been waiting. I've had a couple stories milling about in my head for a long time and one in particular has been wanting to be told for more then a decade. Years ago I dated a guy who said he was a writer but never really wrote much of anything. While we were together I very consciously shied away from writing. I didn't want to step on his toes. Somehow I think I also made that mean I could never be a writer and for what ever reason I am finally able to see it as a possibility.
“Don’t ask what the world needs.
Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is
people who have come alive.”

Howard Thurman
So what have you been waiting to do? What is that makes you come alive?
