Fieldwork for a Moment of Passion

PASSION - a fervent or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything; experience of strong love or sexual desire. [Click here for this week's Bliss Initiatives]

If this week were over today I'd have to rate myself a 2 or maybe a 3 for the week. I might even say zero but that would go against my belief in old Earl Nightingale adage "You become what you think about." and while I don't feel like I have been exuding passion I have been thinking about it!  I have been asking people about their passions and it has been fun to discover that we may even share some. The thing that has been missing is actually bolstering my own feelings of passion and/or finding new things to be passionate about.

So today is about DOING something!

Ah, but what?  I've always had the idea that I have at least one good invention in me and I am passionate about figuring it out. For a long time I was convinced that this idea would come to me in a dream or something like that. I kept a dream log and carried a journal around with me "just in case" the great inspiration hit! Lately I've been thinking that whatever it is will require some actual work and not just divine intervention!  Today I will do some of that "work" and actually research and tinker with a few things... more to come about this sometime in the future!

Another thing I am passionate about is my family and I have been meaning to cronicle our story in some way.... for Jessie in the future and just because it is fun. So yes Jaye, this means I will get the scrapbook stuff started again! As I type this I realize I still have most of my supplies in storage, and they won't be liberated for another month or so (Rob and I want to put the cabinets in the garage before we have our last POD delivered) but in the spirit of doing something today I will start combing Craig's List for a good size folding table for my "craft spot" in the garage. Nice, just thinking about this project moves my passion meter up to about a 4!

Well, it looks like I am "examining my own passions and seeing what may be needed to encourage experiencing every delicious nuance!" How about you? What passion field work could you be doing today?

Moment of Passion
 by (SMcdonald)  Arcwelder

Are you ready to die
For a moment of passion
Can you take a lifetime of regret
Are you ready to die
For a moment of passion
Can you take a lifetime of regret

Are you ready to pay
For a moment of passion
Do you wanna have any doubt
Are you ready to say
To your moment of passion
Sorry but it hasn’t worked out

  1. I went to a quilt show to be inspired with things to write about in my blog and to be inspired for future quilts.
